Natural nephrite jade
The brand exists for one reason: to place fine natural nephrite jade in the hands of people who will wear it for a lifetime. Everything we make answers to three principles — respect for nature, authenticity, and lasting value.
Each piece begins as natural nephrite jade chosen with patience — color, grain, luster, character. We do not chase artificial perfection; exceptional jade should keep the quiet reserve nature gave it.
So we do not over-polish. We do not dye, bleach, or impregnate the stone, or cover its natural character in any way. Everything serves one end — to bring forward the beauty that was in the stone all along.
Why nephrite
Nephrite is a mineral of the amphibole group — the tremolite–actinolite series, a calcium-magnesium silicate. It crystallizes deep in the earth's crust under the pressure of metamorphism, as countless fibrous microcrystals felt together into one dense stone; the process is measured in millions of years, and many deposits date back hundreds of millions. That interlocking structure is what makes nephrite one of the toughest natural stones: at 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale it is not the hardest, yet it is extraordinarily difficult to break, and polishing brings up a soft, almost oily luster. The word "jade" in fact covers two minerals — nephrite and jadeite. We work only with the first.
For thousands of years, nephrite has stood in Eastern culture for purity, integrity, resilience, and harmony. Its beauty does not announce itself; it is a matter of depth, not dazzle. Where other gemstones are prized for the light they give at first glance, fine nephrite rewards time — growing warmer and more lustrous through years of wear. That is why it has long been passed from one generation to the next.
Its standing reaches well beyond the jade trade. When the medals of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games were made, natural nephrite was inlaid in them — chosen to stand for honor and harmony.
Our commitment to quality
- Natural nephrite jade only — no dyeing, no bleaching
- Natural color and texture preserved
- No resin impregnation or unnecessary chemical treatment
- Carved and finished with meticulous attention to detail
- The stone's natural form respected, its true character shown
- Treatment stated on every piece; a serial number on every piece
True quality does not come from altering the stone. It comes from respecting it.
Craftsmanship
Our carving philosophy is balance, not ornament. Each design follows the stone it is given — its grain, its color, its structure — and keeps as much of the original material as possible. We work with the stone, never against it. That is how each piece arrives at a character of its own, and why no two are alike.
Bespoke — ATELIER
Beyond the six series stands ATELIER, our practice for private commissions: from selecting the rough stone, through design consultation, to carving and finishing — guided throughout by the same principle of following the stone's natural form. Every commission is one of a kind, and every commission is final sale.
Integrity
Our partner workshops have spent seventeen years in the jade trade, carving in studios of their own — which is what lets us hold every stage of production to a single standard. We would rather earn trust slowly, through consistent quality and plain language, than loudly, through big claims. Every piece can be accompanied by a report from an independent gemological laboratory; high-value pieces carry a GIA identification report you can verify yourself.
Our belief
We believe exceptional jade is more than jewelry. It is a quiet inheritance — a stone that keeps its worth, carries its story, and outlasts the one who chose it first.
